I Specialize In:

Relational Distress

The relationship you have with your romantic partner(s) can be a source of comfort and vitality; building such a relationship takes meaningful effort and maintenance. In couples therapy, I provide compassionate, goal-oriented treatment to help couples navigate each stage of their relationship. Treatment draws from the Gottman Method, Collaborative Couples Therapy, Structural Couples Therapy, and EFT.

Common reasons for seeking treatment include: Loss of connection and intimacy; High conflict; Fertility and pregnancy; Parenting; Sexual difficulties; Breaches of trust; Challenging life transitions; Pre-marital counseling; And navigating ethical non-monogamy or polyamory.

Family Conflict

Let’s be honest — navigating family life can be stressful during the best of circumstances. The challenges of parenting and family life have only increased due to the pressures from COVID-19. I offer family therapy services to help parents and children of all ages navigate concerns, whether they be longstanding or have only appeared in the past few years.

I utilize Structural Family Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Family Systems approaches to help family members develop adaptive and healthy communication patterns, as well as address parenting concerns and behavioral issues. I am trained in the Gottman Method’s Bringing Baby Home Method and utilize this with new parents

Mood and Anxiety

Individuals seek out mood and anxiety treatment for many reasons.  For some, treatment is pursued in order to improve their ability to cope with life stressors such as work pressures, family stressors, and relational difficulties. Other times, it is when anxiety or depression significantly interferes in their lives.

For adolescent and adult individuals, I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions to address stress, anxiety, and depression. I address my individual patient’s needs using evidence-based approaches and tailored to the individual person. My aim as an individual psychologist is to help people experience greater fulfillment in their lives through enhanced emotion regulation, mindfulness and acceptance, and resilience.
